Hohe Tauern nationalpark

This magnificent nature experience offers a broad range of photographic motifs and is therefore ideal for photography fans from all over the world. Water thunderously falls down deep into the valley from a height of 380 metres, thus forming the fifth highest waterfall worldwide.
The interaction between exposure time and light incidence becomes here particularly fascinating. No matter if you are a professional or a hobby photographer, at the Krimmler waterfalls everybody’s expectations are perfectly satisfied. The most wonderful vacation memories can be immortalized here digitally or analogue. An extra hiking trail leads very close to this spectacle made of water and light which is perfectly framed by the impressive Hohe Tauern natural scenic view. It is recommended to take a camera bag to protect your camera from water splashes.

Hotspot Hintersee/Felbertal

The picturesque lake Hintersee lies imbedded between steep rock walls at a 1313 m altitude. This alpine lake was formed in 1495 as a consequence of a violent rock fall. About 550 metres long and up to 10 metres deep it is the largest among the Mittersill lakes. Its water is so crystal clear that you can perfectly see the lake ground below. The Hintersee and its magnificent surrounding covered with forests, pastures and rock slopes shaped by old avalanches was declared Natural heritage by the Salzburg regional government in 1933.

Photospot Groppen ravine/Obervellach

The recently set up “Schluchtenweg” (“Ravine trail”) is an unforgettable experience for all senses. While walking along this trail you will be fascinated by the ravine and its "5 senses" approach. You will just be astonished by the wild steep rock faces sceneries, the fantastic waterfalls - such as the Groppenstein and the Zechner fall - and the impressive gorges.
The thunderously falling Mallnitz stream, 3 impressive waterfalls, gorges, fresh mountain air and cristal clear water – this is the way the Groppenstein ravine welcomes its visitors.

Photospot Fallbach/Maltatal

No other walterfall is higher in Austria. The Perschitz stream falls thunderously from a height of 200 metres deep into the valley from a height of 380 metres - just incredibile. It literally is a „Fallbach“, free falling over a vertical granite rock down into the Malta valley. No wonder if it is one of the 50 highest waterfalls on Earth. Standing in front of this impressive scenery one can only stare enjoying this extraodary feeling and take wonderful pictures
